This Singer Featherweight 221K is in great condition, and it was commissioned on January 8th, 1957! Cleaned and serviced inside and out - this 221K will be ready to sew right out of the case. This machine is fitted with an original 220-volt motor that has been rewound to work at 110-volt with optimum speed and torque. This beautiful machine is given a Grade 8-. Also included with this machine is the original purchase receipt! This machine was originally sold in York, UK to a member of the Houlston family residing at Manor Farm in Oulston York. The Singer shop that the machine was purchased was on Coney Street in York, and the building it was in recently had some significant renovations. Click here to view some details about that. The Original Bobbin Case is included, adhering to originality all these years later. The machine has been serviced and calibrated for quilter’s cotton, so tension is already properly set; however, tension can easily be adjusted depending on fabric needs.
The machine is fitted with an original striated faceplate and the original case includes the side tray for holding the attachments.
